Set Up/ Take Down
I will list the appropriate steps for set up, and take down of the electric bass.
Set Up
1: Take out your bass carefully.
2: If the bass has a strap, make sure you put it on before the next steps.
3: Plug the amp cord into the bass, and make sure it is secure. Most times, you will hear a final 'click' when it is in completely.
4: Turn the amp on.
5: Make sure that the volume on the bass is at full, as this will limit the amp popping.
6: Now, turn the master volume and input volume to a respectable level, keep in mind that you don't want to blow the amp.
7: Now, you're ready to play!
Take Down
1: Before you unplug the bass, be sure to turn the volume down on the bass.
2: Also, turn off the master volume, and the input volume.
3: Finally, turn off the amp.
4: Unplug the bass from the amp cord. If the previous steps were not followed, this would result with a large 'pop'. This is hard on the bass amp.
5: Take off your bass strap.
6: Put the bass away carefully.
